Heinecken, Robert (vintage, abstract) Robert Heinecken, was instrumental in changing the way photographs are considered in the American cultural landscape. In the 1960s, he began to develop an approach to photographs that was distinctive in the history of the medium.Heinecken sometimes described himself as a para-photographer because his work stood ''beside'' or ''beyond'' traditional ideas associated with photography. His work can be found in museum collections both nationally and internationally including The Art Institute of Chicago and UCLA. The two photographs that the gallery has are VINTAGE, SIGNED and DATED. Each is in its original frame. They are from the 1970's and are printed on canvas. |
