Barer, Cara Some of Cara Barer's images happen by chance and others through purposeful experimentation. A random encounter with the Yellow Pages was the primary inspiration for her stunning collection of photographs.Cara realized that after soaking books in a tub of water for a few hours, they took on a new shape, appearance and purpose. As she began to search for more books to experiment with, she found that she owned many that were no longer of use thus becoming ones that she could experiment with and work with, all leading this spectacular collection. The truly unique imagery that has evolved from Cara's chance encounter with the Yellow Pages is a delight for all to view, especially book lovers. |
